Recreational Trampolining

Warm Up / Cool Down

Before every session a short warm-up is run. Trainers must be worn to avoid slipping over. It is a vital part of the session, to reduce the risk of injury so please arrive on time to every session. If you arrive late, a full warm-up must still be completed.
Please read the recreational info pack below before your session:

Badges

Every term we aim to run the proficiency awards. These are from British Gymnastics and at each level have a set number of skills, as well as a routine that must be signed off. The coaches will only sign the skill/routine off once it is performed to a high standard at least 3 times. After all the skills and the routine are signed off, an email will be sent out which allows you to purchase the certificate and badge for £4.00. As badges progress the skills get more difficult so please don’t expect your child to pass a badge every time badge week takes place. Other sessions in the term work towards learning new skills (which helps with badge sessions) as well as improving current skills.

GCSE Trampolining

If you are taking GCSE PE or A Level PE, we are happy to help you prepare for you exams as well as video any skills which your school requires. Please join any of the 14+ age group sessions and make your coach aware so they can help guide you as to what you should be undertaking in the sessions.

Development Squad Trials

Pathway

Within Aspire Springers, we have a pathway which allows your child to progress from recreation classes to the competitive squad should they wish to.

Development Squad

Development squad is by invite only following an open trial which we will make all club members aware of. If a coach believes you may be able to compete in the future, they will speak to the development squad coach to make them aware. At the trial the development coach and main squad coaches will look at your strengths and weaknesses and give you some pointers as to what they want to see. Once they are happy you have met the set standard, you may then be invited to development sessions. After spending time in development squad, that coach may then speak to the competitive squad coaches if they believe you are ready to be competing. The competitive squad compete at regional competitions throughout the year- if you do not want to compete, that is fine, however, you should not want to join the development squad either as the main focus is preparing for competitions.

Additional Needs

Trampolining at Aspire Springers is fully inclusive and we aim to accommodate anyone with additional needs, however there are some medical restrictions which can apply. Please contact the Head Coach to discuss your needs and the most suitable class:
